Leopard Controls has been awarded the Electrical Services installation project at Grandton Applecross, located at 20-22 Kintail Road, Applecross. This development features a 15-storey residential mixed-use structure, comprising 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom independent living units, a ground-floor commercial kitchen and café, and various amenities such as a pool, gym, and rooftop terrace.
As part of this project, Leopard Controls will implement a comprehensive energy monitoring system (EMS), which includes CETA Meters and the Optergy EMS. The installation involves current transformers, monitoring devices, wiring systems, and ethernet gateways, all coordinated with the client to ensure seamless operation. The EMS will centralize the reading of all metering data for energy, water, gas, and electric car charging, facilitating effective reporting and revenue recovery.
The Optergy EMS will provide online dashboards for sustainability and behavioural insights, enabling residents to monitor their energy consumption via a user-friendly application. The system is designed to securely store interval meter data and recover any missing data in case of communication failures. Additionally, it will link to the Strata Company for automatic billing and account statements, ensuring a streamlined energy management process for residents.
