Leopard Controls has successfully completed the BMS upgrade project for the building at 502 Hay Street, addressing multiple controller failures and issues that arose from a historic maintenance regime. As an experienced BMS contractor, Leopard enhanced the BMS system’s efficiency, control, and monitoring capabilities, optimizing energy consumption and improving occupant comfort. Key tasks included conducting a dilapidation assessment of ventilation and air conditioning equipment, decommissioning and staging the replacement of main Schneider controllers to avoid tenant disruption and installing an Optergy Energy Management System (EMS) for billing and reporting on electrical, gas, and water meters. The project also involved the installation of Distech Controls BACnet intelligent controllers and a complete Headend featuring a web-based platform powered by the Niagara N4 Framework®, resulting in a modern and effective BMS solution.
