Leopard Controls has been awarded the BMS Upgrade project aimed at enhancing the reliability, efficiency, and usability of the existing Building Management Control System. The upgrade focuses on implementing current and proven technologies to achieve significant performance improvements, including reduced maintenance and repair costs, enhanced cyber security, and increased technical support. Key deliverables include improving Variable Air Volume (VAV) box and plant controls to optimize space conditions while reducing energy and water consumption. The project also encompasses upgraded communication infrastructure for better data gathering, reporting capabilities, and a comprehensive maintenance management plan to ensure system integrity for the next decade. Additional features will include an online after-hours air conditioning request capability for tenants, improved graphical user interface screens for enhanced control and management, and a phased implementation program designed to minimize tenant disruption. Overall, the BMS upgrade will lay the groundwork for a sustainable monitoring platform linked to a new sub-metering system.
