In early 2016, Leopard Controls was awarded the 500 Hay Street Project, a significant redevelopment located in Subiaco, Perth. The project involves the transformation of the former ACE Cinemas site into a mixed-use development featuring a 6-level office building with 10,324 sqm of net lettable area, a 10-storey hotel, world-class luxury cinemas, and a 1,500 sqm landscaped plaza. The office space is designed to achieve a 5 Star Green Star rating, with large floor plates of over 2,000 sqm. The site is situated near Rokeby Road and the Subiaco train station, making it a key development in reinforcing the active retail frontage in the area. The hotel will provide much-needed accommodation, while the office building will meet PCA Class A standards, ensuring premium office space. Completion of the project was scheduled for late 2016.
