RAAFA, one of Western Australia’s largest and most trusted not-for-profit providers of Retirement Living and Residential Care, awarded Leopard Controls the Energy Management System (EMS) portion of its RAAFA Cirrus site at Bull Creek. Today, the Air Force Association (Western Australian Division), trading as RAAFA, builds inclusive communities supporting veterans, Australian Defence Force members, and the wider public.

The RAAFA Cirrus site benefits from Leopard Controls’ installation of an Optergy-powered EMS, a sophisticated system enabling RAAFA to monitor, manage, and report energy usage with precision and efficiency. Using a “Daisy Chain” configuration, the EMS integrates multiple electrical meters across the site via an RS485/Modbus network, all centralized through the Optergy Proton EMS unit. This setup supports real-time utility tracking and transparent tenant billing without monthly subscription fees, aligning with RAAFA’s commitment to operational transparency and cost-efficiency.

The Optergy EMS provides facility managers with remote access to energy data via a secure, web-based interface, offering a range of automated reporting options. Customizable utility summaries are easily generated and sent in PDF or CSV formats, enabling seamless energy management and tenant billing.
