summary
Leopard Controls was awarded the mechanical, electrical, and Building Management System (BMS) portion of the Lakeside Joondalup Shopping City redevelopment, a significant expansion project executed by Doric. This redevelopment added 29,000m² of retail and office space, bringing the total gross lettable area to over 70,000m². Key additions included a new major supermarket, a Big W store, and 100 specialty stores, along with 2,000 additional parking spaces in a new four-level car park. The project was delivered in two stages, with Stage 1 completed in December 2007 and Stage 2 in December 2008. Our solution included the installation of a LON open protocol BMS that integrates both new and existing infrastructure, facilitating comprehensive HVAC control and electrical services management, including lighting control and power monitoring. The Direct Digital Control (DDC) system features LONMARK-certified intelligent controllers that ensure seamless communication and operation of the mechanical services plant, enhancing the shopping experience at Lakeside Joondalup
