In 2016, Leopard Controls was awarded the contract for a significant Building Management Control System (BMCS) upgrade at Pfizer Australia’s pharmaceutical facility in Bentley, WA. Pfizer, a subsidiary of Pfizer Inc., is Australia’s leading provider of prescription medicines and employs around 1,200 staff across the country. The upgraded BMCS transitioned from the previously installed TAC Inet system to a Distech Controls Modbus platform, which utilizes a web-based interface powered by the Niagara Framework. This new system incorporates Direct Digital Control (DDC) technology and employs the BACnet communication protocol to monitor and control essential mechanical services within the facility. The upgrade supports various critical environments, including clean rooms, laboratories, and warehousing, enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
